Thats Fijian! I thought it very apt considering the weather here in Blighty - which is very hot at the moment, indeed I have taken off my cardigan!! Scorchio!!!
To be fair, its a bit too hot, we usually go walking on a Wednesday, but both of us have been threatened with a "jobbing" from the wrinkly (thats Mum btw!) if we went. "Jobbing" is really really old Nottingham slang for a good hiding - bear in mind Mum is very tiny, very old, but very very quick and neither of us particularly wants to risk having her put the "jobbing" into practice, but believe you me, she will do if she has to!! Mum is a legend!
OK - well I have had a bit of ribbing from me mateys, saying the new blog is so pretty and more often than not my stuff is a bit on the "dark side". So I thought I would do something very pretty - but still slip in a bit of the "Strangely Creative".
Over at Indigo Blu the challenge is Flutterby and when I went to see a demonstration at PDA by Jenny Marples (who was amazingly good) I won the raffle which was the Ink Splat Butterfly by Limor Webber - so I wanted to use that.
I peeled a napkin down to the printed layer and glued it to some card, then inked and stamped it with the Limor Webber stamp.
The cage is die cut and Flitter Glued and Flaked, the flowers were die cut from White Coffee Filters and then sprayed with inks. The image is the strange bit cos its a bit cheeky! and she has butterfly wings on the back, she is the Queen thats why she is caged (simples!) The large butterfly in the corner is the centre of the same stamp cut away from the Splat!
Anyways - lots going on and here is a close up......
The Coffee Filters do give a really delicate flower.
Am off to enter it into the challenge now, keep visiting and commenting because I love to read the comments - and I am in the process of doing another tutorial......remember I promised a way to use the tags and small canvas......
Thank you for visiting - Ni sa moce!
