Hello everyone!  Are you having a super Tuesday - its cold and raining here, perfect weather for crafting - except I have to be here there and everywhere!

So just got enough time to do a quick post and show you my entries for both challenges:-

Artful Times challenge is Orange brown and White - well this is a bit of all those colours so I hope they dont mind!

The card is covered with 2 sheets of contrasting scrapbook paper and then a third different strip runs across the middle.    All of them are then neatened off with gold strip peel offs.

I embossed gold card and then cut out the oval centre to make a frame.  This holds the large labels from Crafty Individuals.   The frame is then edged with lace.
The label was made into a second card almost, by cutting out a matching plain label and then linked together with the ribbon.   I inked the edges of the labels both inside and out and then added a couple of stamped images.
The verbiage is taken from some sheets which I bought in a big paper sale - I inked those to match the outside edges and then finished off with some of those rolled roses and leaves cut on my Big Shot.

Out of the Hat is Nature.   For this one I laid out my bits and bobs of embellishments and then sprayed them all with inks so that they were all the same tones.

The background is a green postcard and then the sprayed embellishments - a combination of flowers/leaves and keys cut on my Big Shot - feathers, lace and small burgundy flowers, were arranged accordingly.
The large flowers were originally bright purple, the leaves orangy and the lace an ecru colour.

Its a technique I will definately use again because it means I can use up all those little scraps.

Right - must shoot off now!

Bye Bye!

What a clever idea with the first tag! A hidden message - beautifully done. And the second piece is just fab. Using the inks has really unified the colours of the various embellishments.
You asked about my ink sprays - I have some basic Jenni Bowlin reinker colours (they could be any type really) and put a few drops into a small spray bottle. You can mix the colours too, though if you really like a colour it's good to make a large batch as replicating them is almost impossible! Just add some water and hey presto, you can cover your project, workspace, clothing, dog, kids and anything else in the way in a rainbow of colour! Hope this helps. Hugs, Buttons x

Two lovely cards Cathryn, such a lot of work has gone into both of them. Sorry it can't count for Artful Times as it had to be just those three colours. Still it is lovely and I am so glad you shared it with us.
Hugs, Neet xx

Two lovely and very different cards but the one thing they have in common is that they both have fabulous 3d flowers. Beautiful.
